However, public transport in Larnaca can be rather limited, making it a little difficult to travel around and meaning that car rental is extremely favoured here.

Also available for hire are scooters and mopeds, as well as bicycles. Taxis prove to be a very useful and convenient way to travel into the city from Larnaca Airport, with this journey lasting just 15 minutes or thereabouts, depending upon traffic. Alternatively, consider a cruise on one of the city's scenic water taxis, which depart from the marina.

Larnaca is home to an impressive private marina, with berthing spaces for just under 500 yachts. The marina has extensive facilities and is a colourful place to hang out, with plenty of eateries close to the marina pier.

Larnaca Marina is also a good place to catch a pleasure cruise and water taxi to Ayia Napa, and serves Cyprus as an official port of entry.
