Accommodation in Las Vegas is incredibly varied and many resorts are simply vast and replicate small cities, such as Paris, New York and Venice. Las Vegas is full of massive hotels and a large number come with their very own brightly illuminated casinos and shopping complexes.

Do bear in mind that the best room deals at Strip casinos tend to be available midweek, with prices rising significantly at the weekend.


Selecting where to stay when you visit Las Vegas depends on both your hotel budget and what you plan to do during your visit. Countless luxury hotels are situated around the south end of the Las Vegas Strip and many of these include their own shopping malls, theme parks and entertainment venues. There is also plenty of accommodation in this part of the city which is highly suitable for families, with pools and good restaurants.

Some of the most impressive hotels in the city are to be found standing within the heart of the Strip, particularly around the intersection of the Flamingo and the Las Vegas Boulevard, where there is always a constant stream of visitors arriving. Downtown hotels tend to be much cheaper and basic budget lodging is often available in this neighborhood.

At the top end, luxury accommodation in the city comes in the form of Caesars Palace, the Bellagio Hotel and the Venetian, all of which are situated on the Las Vegas Boulevard South and boast spacious themed rooms and suites, Strip views and general opulence. Also in this part of the city is the Mandalay Bay Hotel, which features a large outdoor swimming pool and a sandy beach area spreading for more than 4 hectares / 10 acres.
