Guardian Angel Cathedral

The Guardian Angel Cathedral is one of the most popular churches in the city and there is often standing room only on Saturday afternoons. Many tourists come to the services to pray for luck at the casino, and sometimes drop casino chips into the collection cups during a special tourist mass.

The priest, known as the 'chip monk' collects the casino chips and then takes them to the relevant casinos to cash them in for the church's funds.

Little Church of the West

The Little Church of the West is one of the oldest churches in Las Vegas and dates back to 1942. This charming Las Vegas church is very atmospheric and many Hollywood celebrities have been married at this particular church, including Paul Newman and Richard Gere, to name but a few. The Las Vegas Little Church of the West is probably most famous for appearing in the epic Elvis Presley film, Viva Las Vegas and wedding packages are readily available. This is one of the most attractive city churches.

The Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer is conveniently located for tourists staying on the south of the Strip and this church has one mass on Saturday afternoon and three masses on Sunday.

The Church of Jesus Christ is a stunning temple that was created by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Although only members are allowed inside this church, the Church of Jesus Christ is still worth visiting for its detailed architecture, beautiful gardens and most of all, its exceptional view of Las Vegas.
