Las Vegas Parks and Gardens

(Las Vegas, Nevada - NV, USA)

Las Vegas Parks and GardensIt may well be true to say that Las Vegas is a city of bright lights, big hotels and flashy casinos, but there are also some lush gardens and outlying parks providing quite the contrast. The Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hilton combines tropical plants with exotic birds, living on small islands surrounded by meandering streams.

Visitors to the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will find a number of seasonal themes. At the beginning of the year, the displays are primarily made up of orchids and bromeliads, followed by a springtime theme with tropical flowers and butterflies. Located to the far north of Las Vegas and next to the Silverstone Golf Club, the Floyd Lamb State Park has been developed around four natural lakes (the lakes of Cottonwood, Desert Willow, Mulberry and Tule Springs), and once served as an important oasis within the Mojave Desert.
