Adelaide Golf CoursesA series of very reasonable golf courses surround the city of Adelaide, being located within suburbs such as Flagstaff Hill, Glenelg, Klemzig, Lockleys and Mount Osmond.

Enjoying an especially central location is the City of Adelaide Golf Club, which lies on the northern side of the River Torrens, between Bonython Park and Pennington Gardens. Another popular choice is the highly acclaimed Royal Adelaide Golf Club at Seaton, next to the Kidman Park neighbourhood, where outstanding views of the surrounding coastline are accompanied by a lengthy history. The Australian Open has been played here a number of times over the years, as well as the Amateur Championships of Australia and various other important tournaments.

Dating back to the early 1930s, the Blackwood Golf Club is an attractive and historic world-class course. With 18 superb holes, equipment rental and a clubhouse, this course has recently enjoyed many improvements, including a substantial extension to its clubhouse and three new holes. Notable tournaments regularly staged here include the Ampelec Trophy and the Infitech Summer Cup, as well as the Blackwood Amateur Open.
