Sydney Taronga Park Zoo
Taronga Park Zoo is where most families head when they come to Sydney, and so did we. I know a zoo might seem like the obvious choice, a bit of a predicatable family attraction and all that, and when we got here it was quite average, but actually getting here was really good. We got a ferry here from the Circular Quay, so that was fun for starters, and that took a tram. There were some great views of the harbour and when we got here, we saw some koalas, kangaroos, parrots and seal shows. It is located on Bradley's Head Road and is open every day, although it wasn't cheap by any means of the word.

You can't miss the Opera House
You can't come to Sydney without seeing the Opera House. Everyone know it - wherever you come from! It dominates the Circular Quay and it is every bit as amazing as you can imagine, with that awesome roof of sails - mind blowing. We just looked around the outside and took some arty photos, but in hindsight I really wish that we'd gone in, but then they say, hindsight is a great thing.

Sydney Harbour Bridge
The Habour Bridge is a great big steel arch bridge which is a really famous sight. On New Year's Eve, the bridge is covered in fireworks - very dramatic , I can only imagine what it must be like. Anyway, we were here in August and walked across the bridge. Part way across we saw a sign for the Pylon Lookout and thought that sounded interesting. There were about 200 steps to the top of the lookout. I'm glad we made the effort. We were rewarded with some incredible harbour views and I ended up taking photo after photo after photo. This was a great way to sightsee, on a budget.
