Sydney MarketsThere are lots of markets located around the Sydney area, selling everything from wholesale produce and flowers, to antiques, second-hand goods and traditional craft items, with many being covered from the elements. Popular choices include the Balmain, Bondi, Glebe, Kirribilli and Paddington markets.

There are two locations for Paddy's Markets - near Chinatown and in Flemington, with both catering well for tourists and together, boasting more than 1,000 stalls. For freshly caught seafood, the Sydney Fish Market is based at Pyrmont and is quite a sight, with freshly cooked fish being available if you are feeling hungry. Elsewhere, the Rocks is partly shaded by the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge and offers a wealth of quirky artisan stalls.

There are actually two Paddy's Markets in Sydney, with the main one being found on the corner of Hay Street and Thomas Street in the heart of Haymarket, featuring a large selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood. The second Paddy's Market is located in Flemington, on Parramatta Road, close to the Olympic Park, and offers a vast selection of fruit and vegetables, opening on Friday and Saturday each week.

The Rocks Market

The Rocks Market is situated at the top end of George Street, under the bridge, where it is fully pedestrianised.
