Santander Weather, When to Go and Climate Information

(Santander, Cantabria, Spain)

Summer viewAlways a very popular Spanish tourist destination, the moderate climate of Santander is what many people would consider to be perfect when it comes to overall temperatures. The summers in Santander are sunny and warm, without being overly hot and humid, and the winter months remain mild and relatively free of frosty weather.

However, it is fair to say that Santander is also known for its rather rainy climate, and this can often quite literally put a dampener on sightseeing plans. If you are concerned about visiting the city because its experiences more rainy weather than other parts of Spain, then you should consider a holiday here during the summer months, when precipitation levels are at their very lowest.
