Paphos Weather, When to Go and Climate Information

The sumptuous golden sandy beaches of Paphos are the main reasons why this resort in amongst the most popular on the island of
Cyprus, together with the fine weather and hot summer climate. Most holiday makers choose to visit Paphos during the summer months, particularly between late June and early September, when temperatures can fall anywhere between 25°C / 77°F and 34°C / 93°F, and rainy weather is virtually unheard of.
However, the summer climate can also be rather humid at times, so do be sure to dress appropriately, drink plenty of fluids, and cool down by taking a swim in the beautiful surrounding Mediterranean Sea. By the time that evening arrives at Paphos, gentle coastal breezes cool things down slightly.
Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go
If the summer climate is just a little too hot for your liking, then do consider coming to Paphos during the brief shoulder seasons of spring and autumn. April is an especially appealing time to arrive, with warm temperatures and not much in the way of rainfall.
The low season on Cyprus is the winter, when Paphos is at its most quiet and hotels are at their cheapest. December and January do experience the wettest weather, but fine days are not uncommon at this time of the year, and the crowds are long gone. A winter Cypriot holiday can be quite enjoyable, and is always something completely different to a summer vacation, with nearby Mount Olympus even presenting some winter skiing opportunities.
