Perth Hotels and Accommodation

(Perth, Western Australia - WA, Australia)

Perth Hotels and AccommodationBudget travellers arriving in Perth will have nothing to worry about, since there are plenty of accommodation options to choose between, spread around the city, often overlooking the legendary Sunset Coast and the Swan River. There are a number of quite affordable hotels and guest houses located throughout Perth, although for backpackers, it is the youth hostels that are most competitively priced, with discounts being available for those holding Nomad, YHA or VIP cards.

On the western side of Perth, the suburb of Cottesloe is known for its cheap beachfront hotels, which are well-placed for surfers. Accommodation is even available at the beach district of Scarborough, and also within a selection of outlying caravan parks, where having your own mode of transport is advisable.

If you intend to pay a visit to many of the most popular tourist attractions in Perth, then hotels in the heart of the city come highly recommended. Close by, the more residential suburb of South Perth tends to be preferred by families and is connected to the city centre by the Narrows Bridge, or regular ferries crossing the Swan River.

Hotels in central Perth tend to reduce their prices at the weekends, as business travellers form a sizeable proportion of their occupancy between Monday to Friday. Australia's busiest tourist season is during the summer months, between December to February, and subsequently accommodation out of season, when demand reduces, tends to be cheaper.

Other accommodation is available on the outskirts of Perth, in scenic areas such as Fremantle, Joondalup, Kalgoorlie, Malaga and Mandurah, where you will find many stylish, boutique-style hotels and a number of good-value guest houses.
