Brisbane Churches and Cathedrals

(Brisbane, Queensland - QLD, Australia)

Brisbane ChurchesBrisbane is a city filled with churches and even boasts no less than two separate cathedrals. Located next to the curving Brisbane River and just up from the City Botanic Gardens, St. Stephen's Cathedral is a mere stroll away from Broadway on the Mall, King George Square and Anzac Square.

Located a few blocks to the north is St. John's Cathedral, next to the Spring Hill Marketplace and the Australian College of English. On the other side of Cathedral Square, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church adds further religious interest and character, with its classical Neo-Romanesque design being the result of an architecture competition in the early 1900s.
