Big game fishing around the coastline of Phuket Island is gaining popularity and tourists will discover a good choice of sportfishing tour companies available. Many people are completely oblivious of the world-class sportfishing nearby and are often surprised to find that many people regularly catch enormous marlin, barracuda, dog-tooth tuna and even swordfish. The best big game fishing attractions can be found around the nearby Racha Islands, Koh Rok Island, the Similan Islands, the Surin Islands and also the Andaman Islands, although locals have been known to catch sizable marlin simply off Patong Beach.

Sailing, Yachts and Boating

Many people visit Phuket for the sailing and yachting alone and there are a number of marinas, including the Boat Lagoon and also the Royal Phuket Marina.
