One of the most notable in the city is the Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG), near the university collegiate, which was founded in 1912 by local businessmen and is called home by an array of Inuit works, while many commercial outlets can be found in downtown and other central areas of the city.

One of the oldest art galleries in Canada, the Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG) is famous for its extensive exhibits of Inuit art. Highlights here include work by many local Canadian artists, together with seasonal temporary exhibitions featuring paintings and sculptures by artists from all over the world, and even occasional concerts. A trip is not complete without a visit to the restaurant, which stands on the top floor and offers good city views. Nearby, you may also like to visit the Memorial Provincial Park.

Bayat Inuit Gallery

The Bayat Inuit Gallery is located in the Fort Rouge area and is a popular commercial art gallery, with countless important exhibitions throughout the year. Displaying more than 2,000 works of art, many famous Canadian artists choose to exhibit their paintings here.
