Valencia and the Porta De La Mar
I really liked the Porta De La Mar. It was a grat big gateway close to the Glorieta and once part of the encircling city walls. It is illumiated at night, when it becomes quite dramatic and theatrical.

The City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias)
These days, the City of Arts and Sciences is what Valencia is all about. You simply cannot come here without visiting this incredible attraction - and it will take you more than just a day or two to do it justice. It features some incredible architecture and is still evolving. It was built from 1991 to 2006, and is very modern and futuristic in its appearance. The Oceanografic Aquarium was my favourite bit - I liked the dolphins!

Visiting the Miguelete Tower
Part of Valencia's cathedral, the Miguelete Tower is really an attraction in its own right. You can climb the 200 or so steps to the top (quite tiring!) and enjoy some lovely scenery. The tower is home to a big bell named the 'Miquel' and is octagonal in shape.
