One of Benidorm's premier family attractions, the Mundomar Marine Exotic Animal Park is popular with all ages. Aitana Safari Park

Situated just over 30 km / 19 miles from Benidorm, Aitana Safari Park is worth a visit, being home to a host of wild animals, including elephants, lions, tigers, zebras and giraffes. Other attractions here include an animal nursery, a small zoo where children can get up-close to friendly animals, picnic spots, a restaurant and a gift shop.

Vergel Safari Park

Less than one hours' drive from central Benidorm, the Vergel Safari Park lies close to Ondara. With all of the typical animal favourites, attractions at the safari park include lions, tigers and wolves, together with a small zoo area, miniature train rides, dolphin and seal shows, and a playground for small children.

Cactuslandia

Located on the road between Altea and Calpe, close to central Benidorm, Cactuslandia is a large and impressive cactus garden, with many mature specimens and colourful exotic birds. Dating back around 40 years, Cactuslandia is a popular attraction and contains more than 1,000 different species of cacti and succulents, together with contrasting lush tropical plants and a Natural History Museum.
