Situated just over 30 km / 19 miles from Benidorm, Aitana Safari Park is worth a visit, being home to a host of wild animals, including elephants, lions, tigers, zebras and giraffes. Less than one hours' drive from central Benidorm, the Vergel Safari Park lies close to Ondara. Located on the road between Altea and Calpe, close to central Benidorm, Cactuslandia is a large and impressive cactus garden, with many mature specimens and colourful exotic birds. Dating back around 40 years, Cactuslandia is a popular attraction and contains more than 1,000 different species of cacti and succulents, together with contrasting lush tropical plants and a Natural History Museum.
