Views of Genova from Cable Cars
Some of the best views of the city can be enjoyed during a cable car trip from the Piazza Portello, which heads towards the elevated Spianata Castelletto. From here you can see all of the city and a good chuck of the Riviera as well.

The historical centre of Genoa
The Piazza Campopisano is a true gem and this charming square is surrounded by some colourful and historical houses. It has a typical 'Genovese' character and some pretty gardens. There is also a public house and a nice looking restaurant, as well as a theatre. The Vico Campopisano and the Piazza Sarzano are quite near to the Piazza Campopisano.

Piazza De Ferrari
The Piazza De Ferrari marks the very heart of Genoa and if you come to this Italian city you can be sure that you will come to this big square at some stage. It marks the divide between the old town and the new city. It is also a centre of culture, being home to the Palazzo Ducale and also the Carlo Felice Opera House. The old Borsa Stock Exchange is located here as well, oh and a nice fountain, and some seat, and, well check it out for yourself when you get here.
