Where to Stay

For budget accommodation in Leipzig, consider the Sleepy Lion Hostel along the Käthe-Kollwitz-Strasse, which enjoys a pleasant location and features inexpensive breakfasts. For cheap hotels in Leipzig, a number of good options can be found lining stretches of the Auguste-Schmidt-Strasse, within the northern district of Wiederitzsch, and around the ring road.

For those who like to camp rather than stay in a hotel, the Campingplatz Am Auensee camping site enjoys an attractive woodland setting on the north-western side of Leipzig. The Campingplatz Am Auensee is located along the Paul-Gruner-Strasse.
