Copenhagen Parks and Gardens

(Copenhagen, Denmark)

Picture showing harbourfront gardensAmongst the buzz of central Copenhagen are a number of glorious public parks, where locals regularly head on a summer's afternoon or sunny evening. There are also many beautifully landscaped gardens open to members of the public, such as the Copenhagen Botanical Gardens (Botanisk Have) and those at Amaliehaven.

Particularly popular is Faelledparken, which is far more than just a park. Also onsite is the modern Parken Stadium, the national football stadium of Denmark, which boasts a total capacity in excess of 42,000 and is the home ground of the city's very own F.C. Copenhagen. The park's stadium is also used as a major venue for some of the country's biggest rock concerts, attracting famous singers from the world over.
