Christ Church Cathedral is a spectacular Anglican building dating back to 1865. Situated in the very heart of Christchurch centre, Christ Church Cathedral is one of the most important and historic buildings in the Canterbury area of New Zealand. Attractions at Christ Church Cathedral include impressive architecture, many original period features, a cavernous interior, a tall bell tower, stained-glass windows, stone carvings and a wooden ceiling. Guided tours of Christ Church Cathedral are readily available and it is also possible to climb the 134 steps to the balconies at the top of the cathedral, which offer magnificent panoramic views of Christchurch city centre.

Knox Church

Knox Church is a popular Presbyterian church in central Christchurch and was built more than 120 years old. Featuring a large interior with many timbered features, other highlights at Knox Church include stained-glass windows and regular parish church services.

St. Joseph's Church
