Bangalore Hotels and Accommodation

(Bangalore, Karnataka, India)

City viewWhen looking for hotels in Bangalore, you can expect the most popular accommodation to be expensive, due to extreme demand. However, there are a number of budget lodging options around Bangalore, which generally provide reasonable value for money, especially when booked ahead. All hotels in Bangalore do have hot water, although it is not unusual for this to run out by the end of the day.

For an alternative to mainstream hotels in Bangalore, consider renting a self-catering apartment on Wellington Street. Complete with kitchens, separate living rooms and two bedrooms, this accommodation is perfect for families.

Where to Stay

Much of the most popular accommodation in Bangalore is centred around MG Road, which is a good place to stay for those wishing to sightsee. Many of the cheapest hotels are clustered around the bus stand.

The lively Majestic neighbourhood of Bangalore offers a fair selection of hotels, which can be found along Subedar Chatram Road, on the eastern side of the city's train station and bus stands. Also in this part of Bangalore and next to Subedar Chatram Road, Racecourse Road features a choice of accommodation within the Majestic area, being particularly close to the popular horse-racing track.

If you are on a tight budget and looking for cheap lodging in the city, consider staying at the Bangalore Youth Hostel. Located on Millers Road and offering both dormitory accommodation and double rooms, the hostel also offers access to the Internet and is a member of the Hostelling International organisation.

Bangalore has much to offer in the way of luxury accommodation, with swanky hotels particularly suiting business travellers. If you have a healthy budget, consider staying at one of the many top-end, five-star hotels sited along Airport Road, Brigade Road, Residency Road and Racecourse Road, as well as the extremely popular MG Road.
