(Linz, Upper Austria, Austria)
A historical city steeped in Roman history, Linz is located to the north of central Austria and in close proximity to the southerly border of the
Czech Republic. Linz is centred around the River Danube, although the majority of the city is based on the Danube's south bank.
The Hauptplatz is the main square in Linz and makes a good meeting place and point of reference, being conveniently close to the railway station, the Bahnhofplatz and the Landstrasse. The city is separated into a total of nine different districts, being subdivided further into 36 quarters. The central 'Innenstadt' is where you will discover many places of interest.
