Tanggu

Approximately 50 km / 31 miles from Tianjin, Tanggu has long been home to one of the country's most important seaports, where many visitors are able to catch passenger ferries and travel to Dalian - on the north-eastern side of China, Kobe in Japan, and also Incheon in South Korea. Whilst there aren't many attractions in Tanggu itself, both the 15th-century Chaoyin Temple on Chaoyinsi Daji and the 16th-century Dagu Fort along Paotai Lu warrant exploration.
