Whatever the time of year, there is always plenty of interest within Tianjin's parks, particularly at Beining Park and Central Park, both of which offer pathways, seating areas, themed landscaped gardens, and more.

Also worth visiting is the Shuishang Park, which is located on the south-western side of Tianjin and known for its peaceful setting and exceptionally beautiful scenery. The city's main parks are detailed below.


Beining Park

Beining Park is always brimming with seasonal colours, with springtime bringing the seemingly endless displays of cherry blossoms and being especially impressive. Other highlights within the park include a number of ponds, connected by a long arched bridge, and also the enormous Zhiyuan Pagoda, which towers more than 70 metres / 230 feet in height and dominates much of the park itself. Located in the Heping area of Tianjin, Beining Park is also particularly attractive during the autumn months, when the many trees quickly gain a colourful coat of leaves.

Central Park

Sited within the downtown area of Tianjin and known for its meticulously groomed gardens, Central Park is a great place for an impromptu picnic and due to its central location, can become busy at times. With enormous swathes of flowers, mature trees providing welcomed shade, and pretty rockery areas, spending time in this park is the perfect way to restore energy levels.

Shuishang Park is the perfect place to take respite from the urban jungle of Tianjin city, offering a relaxing environment with no shortage of nature and green areas. Head here with your family on a warm afternoon and take a paddle boat out on the lake, or spend some time enjoying the thrills of the amusement park. For a quieter experience, visit one of the pavilions with a good book, and simply enjoy a few hours of tranquil reading.
