The Tianjin Art Museum has been a part of the city's cultural scene since its opening in 1957. The museum's collection is modest but interesting all the same, containing some good examples of artwork from both the Yuan and Qing dynasties. The second floor of the facility is dedicated to the displaying of folk art and includes porcelain objects, carved figurines and elaborately designed giant kites. The third floor is used solely for visiting exhibitions.
