ABQ Ride operates bus routes within the center and the city suburbs. Most east-west and commuter routes terminate at the Alvarado Transportation Center. Amtrak operates the 'Southwest Chief', which travels between Chicago and Los Angeles. Albuquerque's train station is conveniently located in the downtown area, being within walking distance of the Convention Center.
