Atlanta Museums

(Atlanta, Georgia - GA, USA)

Atlanta is a city of diversity and this is very much reflected in its museums, which encompass interests far beyond the regular science and nature themes that most cities offer. Major museums in Atlanta include the Imagine It! center, where children and adults can delight in the wonders of its interactive exhibits, and the Robert C. Williams American Museum of Papermaking, which while covering a niche subject, contains displays of interest for all.

Intriguing perspectives of the city's rich heritage and rise to prominence are available at the Atlanta History Center, close to the Buckhead Plaza Shopping Center, which was established as far back as 1926 and features the world's most extensive collection of artifacts relating to the civil war.
