The city's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is situated just 10 miles / 16 km to the southwest of central Atlanta, being located alongside the suburbs of College Park, East Point and Hapeville, where it is widely regarded as one of the finest in the area. Just a short distance to the west and connected by the Camp Creek Parkway SR-139 is the Gordon Morris Memorial Golf Course, while to the northwest you will find both the Bill Badgett Stadium and Brenningham Park.

Terminals
Hartsfield Atlanta Airport contains two large terminal buildings, which are known simply as the North Terminal and the South Terminal. Featuring separate concourse areas, the terminals serve numerous international and domestic airlines each day.

Cars
Atlanta city center is within easy reach of the airport and by car, the journey lasts around 20 minutes, when traffic levels are not heavy. The main route is well-signposted to and from Hartsfield Airport and major roads close by include Interstates I-285, I-75 and I-85.
Opened at the end of 2009, the new Hartsfield-Jackson Rental Car Center is home to ten different car rental companies, just under 10,000 parking spaces and a customer service center, being connected by the 'automated people mover' known as the ATL Skytrain.
Buses
Hartsfield Atlanta Airport is served by a number of regular buses, which travel four times each hour, throughout the day, and provide a particularly cheap mode of ground transportation. Further buses are offered by the Northside Airport Express, which links with the northern side of the city.
Hotel Shuttles
Some of the main hotels in and around Atlanta city center also offer a door-to-door shuttle bus service for their guests, departing from the Purple Isle next to the Ground Transportation Center. These are free of charge and travel directly to the entrance of the relevant hotel, although most will need to be requested by telephone or arranged in advance. Participating hotels include Best Western, Clarion, Comfort Inn, Crowne Plaza, Days Inn, DoubleTree, Econo Lodge, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Hyatt, Marriott, Ramada, Sheraton and Travelodge.
Taxis and Limos
Taxis are a particularly convenient travel option, while limos are also to hand and are often more affordable than you may initially imagine. Popular destinations include not only downtown Atlanta, but also Morrow, Stockbridge and Union City.
