Atlanta features over 20 popular golf courses and clubs, with many more being located just a short drive from the city center. Worth noting, a number of these courses also operate a dresscode, which is often simply 'no jeans or T-shirts'.

The Bobby Jones Golf Course is amongst the most historic and is located on the northern side of Atlanta, within the neighborhood of North Druid Hills, where it stands alongside both the Memorial Park and the McKinley Wilson Triangle Park. Also nearby is the Haynes Manor Park, the Bitsy Grand Tennis Center and Tanyard Creek.



Alfred Tup Holmes Golf Course

Located in the Buckhead area, the Alfred Tup Holmes is an attractive 18-hole public course, with inexpensive golfing fees, equipment hire, cart rental and good general facilities.

Bobby Jones Golf Course

The Bobby Jones Course can be found in the Buckhead district and is one of the city's oldest courses. This is a 45-hole municipal facility and first opened in 1927. Today, the Bobby Jones comprises a large professional golfing shop, practice putting greens, a restaurant and reasonably priced fees.

Browns Mill Golf Course

Standing on the southern side of the city, the Browns Mill Golf Club is home to a large 18-hole course, with exceptional facilities. Attractions at Browns Mill include a number of lakes and water hazards, a driving range, equipment and cart hire, a club house and several championship tournaments throughout the year.

Candler Park Golf Course

Candler Park, in the Little Five Points district, features a number of sporting facilities, including a charming nine-hole course with scenic views, particularly popular with beginner golfers.

Cross Creek Golf Course

Situated in Midtown Atlanta, the Cross Creek Course is a popular 18-hole course, with landscaped fairways, equipment hire and cart rental.

Sugar Creek Golf Club

Sited in South Atlanta, the Sugar Creek Club is an 18-hole championship course, containing a number of particularly difficult holes and sloping greens. The Sugar Creek has a par of 72, a driving range, cart rental, reasonably priced golfing fees and impressive fairways.
