Marina pictureShopping is plentiful around the tourist corridor of Cabo San Lucas and many local handicrafts and quality souvenirs are easy to find all around the city centre. Tourists shopping for Mexican clothing and jewellery will be pleased to find plenty of good outlets, including designer shops selling the latest in the way of fashion and accessories.

Most shops in Cabo San Lucas are within easy walking distance of each other, particularly around the marina. Many are interspersed with cafes and taco stands, which are ideal should you require refreshments during your shopping expedition, or simply require a sit down.

When to Shop and Opening Hours

The majority of shopping in Cabo San Lucas is done from 10:00 Monday to Saturday, with most shops tending to close during the early evening.

Shopping is not a popular pastime on Sundays and very few shops open on is day.

Where to Shop

The main squares around Cabo San Lucas offer the best shopping. In particular, an excellent selection of shops are located around both the Plaza Aramburo and the Plaza del Sol, each of which has something special to offer shoppers.

Further image of the city marinaA fairly new addition to the shopping scene in Cabo San Lucas is the Las Tiendas de Palmilla, which is a large shopping centre, situated at the Palmilla Resort, off the Transpeninsular Highway. Also popular with visitors staying in Cabo San Lucas is the huge Puerto Paraiso, where a mixture of shopping and entertainment is successfully combined.

For a taste a local shopping in Cabo San Lucas, the Mercado Mexicano is a colourful market located on the Plaza de los Mariachis and a good place to find everything from ceramics to hammocks, offering you the chance to practice your bargaining skills.
