The city's most prominent facility is located in the same building as the Plymouth City Museum and is especially popular, featuring free admission and plenty of well-displayed pieces to be enjoyed.

Amongst the many other exhibition spaces, the Armada Gallery along Southside Street stands out and features many limited-edition prints and a range of original paintings, while the Plymouth Arts Centre features many seasonal exhibitions throughout the year.

Located alongside the bustling Plymouth City Museum, this noteworthy art gallery lies in the very centre of the city and is especially close to the university. Without a doubt the city's premier art gallery, attractions here include many vast permanent collections of both paintings and sculptures, and many temporary displays by visiting artists and also the Plymouth Society of Artists.

Armada Gallery

The Armada Gallery can be found in the vibrant Barbican area and is a great place to purchase an array of original works. Specialising is pieces with a Middle Eastern influence, the Armada Gallery offers an informal, relaxed and social space, together with paintings by a number of prominent West Country artists.

With free admission, many changing displays and cinematic events, the Plymouth Arts Centre is located on the outskirts of the Barbican district and is eminently suitable for all the family. With a restaurant, many works of art in all shapes and sizes, and regularly screenings of unusual and art-related films, this centre appeals to a broad spectrum of visitors.
