Re. Back to Ancient Times
If you are interested in history there are also ruins in Salamis and Enkomi which I recommend visiting.

Back to Ancient Times
Enjoyed the old city with its Venetian fort and medieval buildings. It is a pity that most of the buildings were ruined in a clash with Turkey during 1571. I even spotted some cannon balls in the walls. The St. George church was interesting and I loved the Greek design and beautiful paintings inside.

Shop Till you Drop
There are plenty of shops to choose from and I spent the morning on Salamis Road before heading to the Old Town. I found that there were many souvenirs on sale in the Old Town and it was here that I found my best buy, Cypriot lacework.

Fun Day Trip
We wanted a change of scenery so went on a trip to St. Barnabus. This is considered a very holy site and there is also a museum.

Re. Night Out
Me and my friends really enjoyed the Old Town and the bars in this area are very busy on the weekend.

Night Out
We went in search of a good party and found that Salamis Road was a good spot with many bars to choose from. It was summer so the bars were packed with locals and students. The next night we wanted to try something different so we decided to check out Famagusta Quayside. We went for dinner first and then for a cocktail at one of the bars.
