Re. A Cape Town must do!
I imagine you're in good shape, Graham. Those who aren't too keen on walking so high for so long can always opt for the cable car for less than R195. For reference though, the most popular walk is the one that goes up Platteklip Gorge.

A Cape Town must do!
You almost have too many options when it comes to choosing which way to get up Table Mountain and will be fine without a guide, as we were. This was one of the finest natural wonders I've ever seen and although we didn't reach the very summit, the views of my favourite South African city almost brought a tear to my eye.

Re. See how the other half lives
You could also check out the Khayelitsha Township in Western Cape if you wish. It's the biggest in the country and there are great views of/from the plains too.

See how the other half lives
We didn't want to risk going into the Langa Township without a guide so hired one that still lives in area. He was incredibly informative and more than happy to answer even the uncomfortable questions. After seeing the hardships endured by the inhabitants of these slums, I definitely have a new-found appreciation of what I have.

A wine tour amidst beautiful scenery
We headed to the Milnerton part of Cape Town in order to enjoy a wine tour and had that much of a time that we went on three in total during our time in the city. We sampled perfect gourmet wine while being able to take photos of some of South Africa's best scenery.
