Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

Between May and September, the chance of rainy weather is very slight, and so most tourists choose to pay a visit to Marrakech during this period, with July and August tending to be the busiest months, offer a warm to hot climate and no rain to speak of. It is known unheard of for temperatures to soar and then quickly plummet for a few days, and these dramatic climate changes are often accompanies by desert winds, known as the 'Chergui'.

November is usually the wettest month in Marrakech, although with precipitation levels averaging just 38 mm / 1.5 inches for the entire month, rain is not likely to spoil a holiday and there are still plenty of dry, sunny days to be enjoyed.
