Lincoln Restaurants and Dining

(Lincoln, Nebraska - NE, USA)

The dining scene in the Nebraska city of Lincoln is extremely well established, with the biggest selection of restaurants being found around the busy downtown district.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln boasts a student base of around 25,000 students and greatly influences the local nightlife, meaning that cheap eats and bars are especially plentiful around the campus. This is particularly so along the lengthy O Street, which is where many of the student houses are based and is interestingly one of America's longest thoroughfares.

American-style diners, barbecue grills, bistros and burger bars are widespread around Lincoln, along with pizzerias, steakhouses, breweries, Asian restaurants, coffee shops and fast-food dining outlets. If you are simply looking for a snack at lunchtime, then sandwich shops and good-value eateries are never far from hand, such Bagels and Joe on Old Cheney Road, Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches on North 14th Street, Schlotzsky's on North 27th Street, and Sips and Subs on South 33rd Street, as well as around 20 different branches of the Subway sandwich chain.
