Our Time at the Place Royale
The Place Royale forms the very heart of the old town and I believe dates back something like 400 years or thereabouts. This particular spot is actually the very spot where the first French settlement were based when they arrive in Canada. The Place Royale is a really beautiful area and features lots of cobbled alleyways, a big fountain, a historic church and a lot of character.

A Stroll Along the Quebec City Boardwalk
The boardwalk goes by the name of the Terrasse Dufferin and begins beneath the Chateau Frontenac. This is a great first thing to do when you arrive, to get yourself gently aquainted with the city and enjoy some very nice river views. There are lots of attractions along the boardwalk, including the Plains of Abraham. The Terrasse Dufferin is great at anytime of the year, but particularly lovely in the summer.
