The winters in Lanzarote are mild, and the summers not overly hot, with rainy weather being infrequent throughout the year.

Lanzarote does not contain any high mountains, meaning that there are no major barriers for sea clouds, resulting in a much drier and less sticky climate than many other Spanish islands. With a latitude of 29°, Lanzarote stands on the same latitude line as much of Florida and also the Bahamas, making it the perfect holiday destination.

The weather in Lanzarote varies slightly around the island, with a number of specific micro-climates. Northern Lanzarote tends to be a little more cloudy and windy than the south, with slightly more rainy weather, resulting in lusher plants and green growth. Southern Lanzarote features a drier, somewhat hotter and more moderate climate, with over 2,500 hours / around 7 days of sunny weather each year.
