Worcester Events, Things to Do and Festivals 2014 / 2015

(Worcester, Worcestershire, England, UK)

Photo showing the elegant architecture of the Shire HallThe county of Worcestershire has a truly exceptional array of events and celebrations, with some of its most popular things to do including the annual British Asparagus Festival in the early spring, the Worcester Motor Show in May, and the Upton Jazz Festival in the summer. Later in the year, the seasonal Pershore Plum Fayre, Evesham Vintage Steam Rally and Worcester Christmas Fayre all draw large crowds.

Many of the biggest festivals in Worcestershire take place at the Malvern Showground, which is roughly 20 minutes away from the city and each year plays host to huge events such as Countrytastic and the Malvern Spring Gardening Show. In June, Malvern sees the arrival of the Three Counties Show, which remains the region's premier agricultural and countryside event, and includes plenty of live entertainment at its Main Arena venue.

Further events in the city are staged at Huntingdon Hall, Swan Theatre and on the streets, such as the relatively new Strawberry Festival in June, where almost everything related to strawberries is to be found for sale along the High Street.
