Worcester Links - Tourism and Attractions Links

(Worcester, Worcestershire, England, UK)

Located within the West Midlands and serving as the county town of Worcestershire, the city of Worcester sits part-way in between the cities of Birmingham (north-east) and Gloucester (south), both of which are connected by the M5 motorway. Kidderminster lies directly to the north, while Tewkesbury is less than a 30-minute drive to the south.

Worcester city has grown up around the River Severn, which meanders its way through the very centre of the city. A number of prominent attractions and historic landmarks line the banks of the Severn, with the city's cathedral being amongst the most striking, recognisable and important.

Sightseers exploring Worcester will find that the College Green is an especially pleasant place to hang out, being surrounded by a number of attractive buildings. Located next to the cathedral and best reached through its cloisters (or via the Watergate or the 14th-century Edgar Tower), the College Green is a notable public spot that can get busy during the summer months.
