Re. Don't leave without having visited
From May until the end of October, the tours are from Monday to Saturday at either 11am or 2.30 pm. From November until the end of April, they are at the same times but only on Saturdays. I see that you probably visited in March!

Don't leave without having visited
I would say that Worcester Cathedral is the best attraction in town and there is plenty for you to enjoy. I liked the Royal Tombs the most, as well as Chapter House and the exhibit they had on different architecture right through the ages. Free admission but it would have been nice to have gotten a tour. I think we went at the wrong time.

Re. Outdoor bliss
Wow, can't believe you caught the heritage weekender. It's one of the highlights of the year around these parts. My nephew married at Hanbury Hall and I would say that it is just as good as Witley Court, if not better - although I'm obviously a little biased.

Outdoor bliss
We used public transport to get us just under nine miles from Worcester centre and to the lovely Witley Court. This was a magical place and I enjoyed it more than the cathedral. We were lucky enough to be there when there was a free English Heritage weekend being run.

One for classical music enthusiasts
I come from Austria and love classical music style. I will always be fan of Elgar and must to visit birthplace of him in Worcester. I did and saw great items that were once his. There was museum and it was fun to see where genius like him is growing up in England.
