Where to Eat

Some of the best restaurants in Sheffield can be found around Devonshire Street, Division Street, Glossop Road, Norfolk Street and also West Street. Particularly popular is the Forum Cafe along Division Street, which is situated alongside the Forum shopping centre and comes alive in the evenings, when it has loud music and more of a bar atmosphere. Mama and Leonie's, along Norfolk Street, has long been one of Sheffield's top pasta and pizza restaurants, and is often visited by theatregoers, as both the Crucible and Lyceum theatres are nearby.

Further pubs and restaurants are scattered around the south-western side of the city centre, standing amongst many shops and bars. Restaurants line much of the London Road in this part of Sheffield, and include the extremely popular Vietnamese Noodle Bar and the multicultural cafe of Simunye. Nearby Eccleshall Road is also worth a look and is often referred to as the 'Golden Mile', due to its high concentration of restaurants and bars. Sheffield's westerly Devonshire Quarter, which includes both West Street and One Division Street, is the Mecca for nightlife and many new restaurants are always opening up in this trendy and vibrant district. Also worth noting are the numerous inviting bars around the Cathedral Quarter, which begin to fill up as evening approaches.
