Apart from the beach fun and walking trails around the Exmoor National Park, there are still plenty of things to do in the Lynton and Lynmouth area. However, each year a selection of seasonal festivals and North Devon events provide a real highlight for holiday makers, if they time their stay correctly.

The Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at the Lynton Town Hall is a good place to find out the latest events information, which is detailed in its free newspaper, entitled the Lynton and Lynmouth Scene. This newspaper is well worth picking up and as well as listing local festivals, it also provides information about the accommodation scene and eating out. Each October, the Exmoor Food Festival is a real highlight and includes Devonshire clotted cream teas at the West Somerset Steam Railway.
