On the Esplanade, there are two good fish and chip shops, while at the very top of the Lynton and Lynmouth Clifftop Railway is the Cafaurant, which boasts stunning panoramic bayfront views and specialises in local produce.

For steaks and family meals, the Bridge Inn at the neighbouring village of Lynbridge stands within a charming 17th-century building and overlooks the West Lyn River. Other reliable dining options include the Lynton Cottage Hotel on the North Walk, the Clifftop Cafe on Lee Road at Lynton, and the St. Vincent House and Restaurant on Market Street in Lynton.

For hearty pub grub in this part of North Devon, the nearby Blue Ball Inn is widely considered to be one of the best and stands in the village of Countisbury, which is literally just a couple of minutes away by car.
