Lynton and Lynmouth Beaches

(Lynton and Lynmouth, North Devon, England, UK)

Coastal viewThe main beachfront at Lynton and Lynmouth is a pleasant mixture of sand, shingle, pebbles and large rocks. Always busy with families during the summer holidays, the beach offers a water quality of 'good to excellent'.

Lynmouth Beach is often popular with fishermen, who head to the rocky headlands to cast their lines. Surfers are also known to favour the Lynton and Lynmouth areas at certain times of the year, and although the beach is not really ideal for making sandcastles, it boasts some excellent rock pools, which are usually filled with small sea creatures. There is also a tidal swimming pool located on the easterly side of the beachfront, where children can swim and play safely.
