Cruising on the Canal
Bruges is a very traditional Belgian city and the canal cruises may be considered to be a bit of a tourist trap by many people, but I thought that it was a really nice way to see some buildings that I probably wouldn't have otherwises. We'd been walking all morning anyway, so it was quite nice to sit down for an hour or so and it was quite cheap. We caught our boat next to the Memling Museum.

Breweries and Beer Drinking in Bruges
Lovely, lovely Belgian beer. It's certainly flowing well in Bruges. We tour a tour around the De Haalf Man Brewery, where beer has been produced since the middle of the 16th century. There were quite a few steps involved and some impressive views of the city, and of course a complimentary glass of beer. There are different kinds of tours, so make sure you join an English speaking tour so that you get the most out of the tour.

Views from the Belfort
Lots of tourists climb the Belfry tower every single day, and I really do mean lots. But then it is a pretty iconic building and the panoramic views at the top are hard to beat. But be warned, there are 366 steps and it is rather steep, although there are a few places on the way up where you can rest and catch your breath a little.
