Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) Information
(Jackson Hole, Wyoming - WY, USA)
Jackson Hole Airport provides excellent access to the popular ski resort town of Jackson, as well as the
Yellowstone National Park and the
Grand Teton National Park. Few airports boast such a scenic location, right at the base of the Teton Mountains and to the north of downtown Jackson, Wyoming.
Most of the flights into the airport maintain seasonal schedules that slow down during the off-season and ramp up during the winter ski season and popular summer months. United, Skywest, Frontier, Delta and American all operate flights here throughout the year, serving
Los Angeles,
Atlanta,
Chicago,
Dallas,
Denver and
Salt Lake City, amongst other destinations. International connections are easily made using these carriers.
The terminal, reminiscent of a timber mountain lodge, really is a work of art. Only a few amenities are available inside, but they cover the basics well. Wi-Fi Internet is available throughout the terminal, while transport options include taxis, rental cars and shuttle buses.

Taxis
Nearly two dozen private taxi firms operate at Jackson Hole Airport, including ABC Taxi and Cowboy Cab, with taxis serving as the primary form of transportation. All of the taxi firms use a fixed rate system for trips anywhere within the town or Teton Village, based on the number of passengers. Limousines are also available with advance booking.
Cars
With taxis being relatively expensive, a rental car is the ideal way to get around the incredible countryside the surrounds Jackson. National, Alamo, Avis and Hertz are all located inside the terminal near Baggage Claim, with another two car hire firms available in the ski resort itself. Jackson is a 15-minute drive south of the terminal, via US Route 26 / North US Highway 89. As you drive southwards you will pass by the Rising Sage Cafe, the Wilcox Gallery and also the Flat Creek Inn.
Buses
A single shuttle bus company, AllTrans, operates at the airport. This is the most economical transport option for solo travelers, as it charges about half the fare of a taxi trip into town. However, groups of two or more passengers will find it just as economical to hire a private taxi.
