Photo of central shopsThere is a noticeably different shopping experience to be had in Jackson Hole, something much more intimate and relaxed than you will find in the bigger cities, malls and department stores. The main shopping amenities tend to be concentrated within the town of Jackson, where you can purchase everything from local handicrafts, jewelry and touristy T-shirts, to a range of outdoor gear, suiting those headed for the Grand Teton National Park.

In the winter months, Jackson Hole becomes a true snowy paradise, attracting large numbers of skiing enthusiasts. The town caters well for all kinds of equipment relating for winter sports, hiring and selling skis, snowboards and a range of clothing. Lying close to the town itself and within Teton Village, the JH Sports Ski Shop is of note at any time of the year, being a good place to rent mountain bike during the summer, and to go shopping for backpacks, hats, boots, camping equipment and similar items.

Where to Shop

Within Jackson town, the main shopping opportunities lie around the Town Square and Broadway Avenue. Here you will find plenty of trendy boutiques and interest art galleries.

Many of the souvenir shops have chosen to embrace a very Western theme, with Native American gifts and memorabilia being widely available.

If you are shopping for something on the wacky side and perhaps the ultimate souvenir of a vacation spent within Jackson Hole, then do keep a look out for some rather unusual chandeliers for sale, which are often made out of actual collected elk antlers.
