Jackson Hole Grand Teton National Park

(Jackson Hole, Wyoming - WY, USA)

Photo of prominent signpostThe neighboring Grand Teton National Park is one of the main reasons why so many tourists choose to base themselves within the Jackson Hole area. Located just a mere 20 miles / 32 km to the north of Jackson Hole and lying directly to the south of the Yellowstone National Park, the attractions within the Grand Teton National Park are virtually endless, particularly if you are one who favors the 'great outdoors'.

There are currently in excess of 200 miles / 322 km of hiking trails spread around the Grand Teton National Park, with maps being readily available at the Park Headquarters in Moose, and also at the Moose Visitors Center on Teton Park Road. The park does remain open all through the year, although visitors from Jackson Hole should note that a number of entrances and roads may become closed between November and May, due to snowfall. This includes the Mosse Wilson Road, which therefore restricts access from the Teton Village.
