Designed by the creator of New York's Central Park, Belle Isle is an impressive feat of landscaping filled with fun things to do. Accessible only by boat or bridge, Belle Isle is a piece of land located in the Detroit River Mouth and is home to the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, the Belle Isle Aquarium, the Belle Isle Zoo, and the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, a greenhouse filled with tropical orchids and rare flora.

Chene Park

Surrounding the historical Cranbrook Mansion in Detroit's exclusive area of Bloomfield Hills are the exquisitely manicured Cranbrook Gardens, which feature perennial and annual flower beds exploding with color, an Oriental garden and a swamp garden. The home itself is an English, Arts and Crafts style manor house still containing much of its original furnishings and decorative additions.
