Located just outside Detroit in Henry Ford's birthplace of Dearborn, the Henry Ford Museum and adjacent Greenfield Village are the Motor City region's most prestigious attractions. Just outside of Detroit in the suburb of Dearborn rests the home of Henry Ford and his wife, Clara. The 56-room stone mansion, known as Fair Lane, draws electricity from a hydropower house that was built with the help of Thomas Edison and has been declared a National Historic Landmark. Besides allowing for perusal of the home's interior with its abundant and exquisitely carved wood features, tours of the Henry Ford Estate take in the Ford Discovery Trail, vegetable garden, pony barn, skating house and more.

Located on the 'floating park' of Belle Isle, the gorgeous Scott Fountain commemorates James Scott, who donated the funds for its construction in his will.
