Under the care of the Horticultural Division of the Bureau of Parks, the Baltimore Conservatory and Botanic Gardens features three greenhouses set in 1.5 acres of gardens. The outdoor gardens showcase locally adapted vegetation, while the greenhouses known as the Desert, Tropic and Mediterranean houses are temperature controlled to mimic the specific environments that their names suggest.

Ladew Topiary Gardens

Set in 22 acres / 9 hectares of lush parkland, Baltimore's Ladew Topiary Gardens are home to some fantastically sculpted topiary hedges and figures which were originally designed by Harvey South Ladew, after whom the gardens were named. Besides greenery, visitors can delight in the equestrian-inspired manor house which is open for public viewing and organized tours. Self-guided nature walks covering 1.5 miles / 2 km of the outdoor area with the aid of maps are also available.

The Robert East Lee Memorial Park has 450 acres / 182 hectares of land dedicated to relaxation and leisure pursuits.
